Homework

All problems are taken from our textbook, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, 4th edition, by Goode and Annin. Homework will not be collected, but quiz and exam problems will be based on these assigned problems. It is important to work through enough of the assigned problems until you feel comfortable with all of the material.

Quizzes

There are weekly in-class quizzes, consisting of a few problems on topics covered that week. At the end of the quarter, your lowest quiz score is dropped and the average of your remaining scores is worth 25% of your Overall Score.

Make-Up Policy

If you have a scheduling conflict with a quiz or exam, contact me prior to the quiz/exam in order to schedule a make-up. Make-ups may be taken early or the following class day. Make-ups taken two or more class days late will be subject to a late exam penalty of 10% per day. All make-ups must be completed within one week of the original exam.

Exams

There are two in-class midterm exams and a cumulative final exam. Each midterm exam is worth either 15% or 20% of your Overall Score, depending on whether that exam score is lower or higher than your final exam score, respectively. Your final exam is worth either 35%, 40%, or 45%, depending on whether your final exam score is higher than neither, one, or both midterm exams.

    • Exam 2 material: 1/4 of exam
    • New material: 1/2 exam
10:10am-1pm on Monday, June 10
